Cistus Incanus Tea: has been published as a potent borreliocidal herb, anti- yeast and mould agent, biofilm breaker, anti-retroviral remedy and as a preventive of tick bites. The studies were all done on Mediterranean Cistus, not on Cistus grown in other climates. The Ki Science Cistus is hand-harvested in dry climate of Sardinia and Sicily, where the cistus can culture the most potent plant adaptogens. Bio-dynamically produced and harvested without the use of chemicals, solvents, or machinery. The stems leaves and flowers are all used in specific proportions requiring a complex drying process.
Recommended use: 1/2 cup tea per day, slowly increase to 8 cups per day – according to tolerance. Re-brew the leaves to get the benefit from sequential release of additional polyphenols and other healing agents.
Infusion- the tea is powerful and tastes pleasant and gentle. Use the same leaves brewed 3 times, as different healing elements emerge with repeated soaks and brewing. On the 2nd and 3rd time the precious phenolics are released (deeper red colour). The last brew should be simmered for a longer time than the earlier brews. After that a new batch should be used.
The tea can also be used as a mouthwash and gargle.
